LIGHT TO DARKThis lovely 1980's timber and tiled kitchen was dark, wasted storage in corners and had a fridge in center of the family, meals, kitchen room ensuring waltzing about it to see children playing was inevitable! The potential was huge and the outcome sensational.

FRAME TO FABULOUSWhen we met, this lady's home was a frame. In the generous home there was no kitchen detail only a small allocated space: no plan or idea of how the cabinetry would work. This I found quite bizarre as with any plan I will have a proportional space and some detail in mind.

GALLEY KITCHENThis kitchen was outdated and non-functional, it was the main traffic walkway through the house with minimal bench space. By working with the client we were able to stream line the kitchen by designing a galley kitchen.

VICTORIAN BATHROOMWe started with a ghastly and dated, dilapidated 80’s room of pink! Although a good lay out, the fittings needed replacing and needed to include Victorian era items to blend with the home. It had to compliment the Victorian details of the home and include modern luxury.
|
KITCHEN AND PANTRYThis kitchen had no space and no pantry, just a laundry off the kitchen with three doors, dogs bed and mess.
We came a long and turned the tired old laundry into a butlers pantry and created a new laundry and massive storage space with access to the rear garden. |
WHITE AND REDThis was a 1970's home that would cope with the young growing family but the kitchen let it down. Two generous living spaces, ensuite and back garden are ideal for Mum, Dad and two busy kids, but the outdated kitchen had no storage and no bench space. The new design brings in colour and space.

“Margot Kirke consulted with my husband and myself when we extended our solar powered, sustainable house in Gippsland, Victoria.
Her fresh approach enabled us to fully utilise the spatial limitations, and enhance the appearance and ambiance of our design to give us more usable space.
Her insightful concept drawings were used by the builder to fully utilise the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and WIR space in the house. Margot listened and clarified our ideas to contribute to a fantastic design.
Margot fully conceptualised our design thoughts and requirements. We wholeheartedly recommend Margot for any building design needs."
