A huge shower and then some
It looked stunning: a huge shower and bath behind a heavy glass wall, toilet and vanity directly off kitchen and the laundry in a cupboard. Not practical or compliant.
Now: this is a family home; one room does not work, air lock is required between loo and kitchen, cannot wash for family of five in a cupboard then trudge thru the house because there is not access to yard. OH and NO ventilation: no opening window. |
Although there was room to extend we found a solution that was with in the walls. It was to divide it into private areas which created the air lock. Powder room with window and basin that is invaluable. Shower over the bath, vanity and external door for ventilation, light and importantly, access to services yard. The public space is the laundry. The cupboard is now as it should be: storage.

Given the constraints this is a much improved layout. And so much more friendly for family, guests, everyday life and every one's privacy and comfort. Victory, a triumph and such a success!
